Introduction and scope
This policy explains how Programonic (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use programonic.com, including its tutorials, examples, references, quizzes, online compilers, and the contact form. Programonic is a new, independent learning project launched in 2026.
By using the site you accept this policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the site. This policy covers the website only. Other sites we link to have their own policies.
Information you give us
Programonic does not have user accounts, sign-in, payments, or comments, so we do not ask for a password or any payment details. The only information you give us is the following.
- Contact form: your name, email address, topic, message, and an optional page link. We use these to read and reply to your message.
- Email: if you write to contact@programonic.com, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message.
- Code and input you run: the source code and standard input you submit in an online compiler. They are sent to our server to be compiled and run, and the output is returned to you. We do not save them in a database, and we delete the temporary files after each run.
Please do not put passwords, personal data, or confidential information in code you run or in a message to us. Code run on an online compiler is not private in the way a file on your own computer is.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, the servers that deliver Programonic receive technical information with each request, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, and the time. Our hosting provider may keep this in server logs for security and reliability. We do not build visitor profiles from it.
To limit abuse, our server briefly keeps your IP address in memory to count how often you run code, translate pages, or send messages. These counters last about a minute for compilers and translation, and about ten minutes for the contact form, and are not written to disk by our code.
Programonic does not currently use analytics tools to measure visitors. If we add one in future, we will name it here before it goes live.
How we use information
- To run the code you submit and show you the result.
- To read and reply to your messages and to improve lessons and tools based on feedback.
- To keep the site working, secure, and fair, including limiting abuse of the compilers.
- To meet legal obligations when they apply.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you, and we do not sell it.
Third-party services and links
We rely on a few outside services. Each receives only the information it needs to do its job, and each has its own privacy policy.
- Hosting provider: delivers the site and may keep server logs, as described above.
- jsDelivr (content delivery network): the code editor on the compiler pages is loaded from cdn.jsdelivr.net, so your browser contacts it and it can see your IP address and browser details.
- Code execution: code you run is executed on a server we operate, or sent to an execution service we configure (a Judge0-compatible service). Which one is used can change; we do not send your code to any other third party.
- Email delivery: when you use the contact form, an email service we configure delivers your message to our inbox.
- Page translation: when you choose another interface language, the text of the page is sent to our own server and translated by a model that runs there. It is not sent to an outside translation service. Translated page text (never personal data) may be cached on our server.
- Advertising: see the next section.
Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or practices.
Advertising
Programonic does not currently show advertising. The site can be configured to show Google AdSense ads. If that is switched on, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show and measure ads, and may personalize them. Before we turn ads on we will update this policy, tell you which services are used, and provide a consent choice wherever the law requires one.
If ads are switched on, third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your earlier visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visit to Programonic and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com or aboutads.info, and you can learn how Google uses data from partner sites at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Ads are always separate from lessons and are never part of the code you run.
How long we keep information
- Code and input you run: not stored after the run finishes. Any execution service we configure may keep its own records under its own settings.
- Contact messages: kept for as long as needed to answer you and to keep a reasonable record, then deleted. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.
- Server logs: kept by the hosting provider under its own schedule.
- Browser storage: stays on your device until you clear it.
Security
We use HTTPS, run submitted code with time, output, and environment limits, keep our server secrets out of the programs you run, and limit how often anyone can use the compilers and contact form. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep sensitive information out of anything you submit.
International transfers
Our hosting and service providers may process information in countries other than yours, where data-protection rules can differ. By using the site you understand that your information may be handled in those places.
Children’s privacy
Programonic is for learners of all ages, but it is not designed to collect personal information from children under 13. We do not knowingly collect it. If a child under 13 has sent us personal information, ask a parent or guardian to email contact@programonic.com and we will delete it.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict or stop using it, or give you a copy. You may also object to some uses and complain to your local data-protection authority.
Because we have no accounts, the only personal information we are likely to hold is a message you sent us. To make a request, email contact@programonic.com or use the contact form and choose “Privacy request”. We may need to confirm that the request comes from you, and we aim to reply within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site grows. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If a change is significant, we will highlight it on the site. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
